Over the last few years we've had many people write us about family or friends who have lost their voice, either temporarily or permanently.  Speaking is something we all generally take for granted, but losing the ability can mean a drastic change in life for the patient and everyone around them.  Many of these people use TextAloud to help them speak to family and friends, answer the phone, etc.  After talking with voice impaired users and doctors about the type of program they really need for use in conversation, we are nearing an early release of a new product specifically designed to help those people who can no longer speak.  If you or someone you know has lost the use of their voice, we will soon start beta testing of this new product.  Beta testing involves trying out early versions of the program and letting us know of any problems, questions, or suggestions you have to help make the product better.  If you are interested in taking part in this beta test, please email us at
