Re: Do not pronounce written character
Depending on which Acapela Phoneme dictionary (Lexicon Editor) is associated with your Acapela voice changing the stress of a word could be easy or challenging. Even with Acapela's PronunciationEditor tool, it is still possible to import a special-formatted-text file into PronunciationEditor with t...

Re: Do not pronounce written character
The Phoneme Dictionary (Lexicon Editor) is the most important feature of any voice. Why would you take away the excellent Lexicon Editor that comes with Acapela voices. For example, the Lexicon Editor that comes with UK English voices allows you to use French phonemes. Acapela voices has the worse p...

The information given above is incorrect. Depending on which Acapela Phoneme dictionary (Lexicon Editor) is associated with your Acapela voice changing the stress of a word could be easy or challenging. So the first thing you need to do is to find out from TextAloud where the Acapela Phoneme diction...

Thanks Quantum,
I am aware that {{Audio=C:\\snd\\crowdboo.wav}} works with Ivona SSML voices in TextAloud but it is a SAPI 5 audio tag.

Your analysis of the problem is all wrong. If TextAloud is the only program running and you have a TextAloud dictionary with appropriately 100,000 entries which is trying to read a large article the problem will occur: TextAloud will take from half an hour to two hours to start reading the article w...

This a well know problem with Acapela voices (especially Acapela American voices). The pause is caused by the double quotes ("). I am very sure I posted on this issue sometime ago or raised the issue with TextAloud. Since I am stuck using Acapela 8.25 because of its superior Lexicon Editor, I j...

Re: Vietnamese names are spelled out in speech.
IPA Pronunciations:
Nguyễn /nyˈen/
Trần /ˈdrɑːn/
Văn /ˈvɑːn/
It is easier to find these names in standard references if rendered without diacritics: Nguyễn as Nguyen.

A few comments on your use of /F AH S1 S AH D S1/ to phonetically respell facade". 1. In general, voices that support sapi5 phonemes support placing emphasis very well. 2. Your phonetic respelling of facade is not correct: If Microsoft Hazel allows pronunciation when S1 is included in phoneme s...

Re: Ignoring font type
Deleting or ignoring superscripts (footnotes) is the wrong approach since these representations (usually in the form of public.1, public.2, etc.) contain very good information that you can use regular expressions to pronounce properly and convey that these are footnotes or endnotes.
