‘Outlaw’ was an overstatement, of course. Apple only seems to be re-inventing text-to-speech with a view to profit from the use of this technology in its future revolutionary products. Dictionaries for NextUp Talker in a variety of languages may be downloaded from this page by the courtesy of contributers.

To start using a new dictionary just unzip it into Talker's folder.
