Re: TextAloud 4 Wish List

Would really like to see a dialect-wide selection option in the pronunciation editor, so for example, I could setup one dictionary to apply to all my non-US English voices).

Re: Any plans for an Android app?

Hi Jim,

I'll add that I'm a very heavy iPhone user and would love to see a TA app to read selected text out loud.

Re: Bug: Pause resets speed to default

Yep. I noticed this too when changing voices last week. Thought it was something idiosyncratic to my setup.

Instapaper & TA: A Winning Combo

I convert about 10-15 news articles a day to MP3 using TA. Once in a while, though, I get half-way through a long article and end up someplace where I can't listen, but could read, and wish I could finish the article. I used to just clip the articles directly to TA, and then convert from there. Now,...

Re: Reg Ex "Engine" ?? Which does Text Aloud Use?

I use RegEx Buddy for troubleshooting, or very complex RegEx's in TA. GREAT tool. $40 though. Here's a link: http://www.regexbuddy.com/

Re: Reading speed resetting to default (possibly solved)

I have seen similar problems previously, and have an entry or two in my dictionaries to catch such occurrences, one of which was the left angle character. I'll add the right angle to my list as well.

Re: Pronunciation Sharing?

Happy to share my dictionaries (about 1500 entries or so). PM what voices you're using and your email address and I'll send you any corresponding dictionaries I have.

Re: Bug in "TA3014"

That's NOT a large dictionary! I've actually got 29,000 lines in my main dictionary, and probably that many lines again scattered among other "sub-dictionaries".

Re: Skipping URLs, words or text

It's probably a little more complicated than just saying "wildcards". Can you post a couple of example URLs that aren't being completely picked up by the regular expressions I posted and I'll see if I can modify the regex to accoint for that?

Re: Skipping URLs, words or text

Try creating three separate regex pronunciation editor entries -- one for each of the following, and setting the pronunciation be <s> (http:[\\/]{2})*w{0,4}?\.?([-\w]+)\.(com|net|org|gov|biz|us|cc|info|edu)([%?&A-Za-z0-9\/+=,._-]*) (http:[\\/]{2})*([-\w]+)?\.?([-\w]+)\.(com|net|org|gov|biz|us|cc...
