If you are happy with MS David that is what is important.
The easy way to learn how to do the mapping is to start with the simple examples given in the SAPI 5 charts like cat and type cat into a standard dictionary with IPA, very soon you will you will be able to do the mapping automatically.

Re: How to convert phonetic spelling into SAPI 5 Phonemes?
You can find the US English SAPI 5 Phoneme set here . The mapping from IPA to SAPI 5 is very straightforward: For the word Tagalog http://www.collinsdictionary.com/dictionary/english/tagalog?showCookiePolicy=true /təˈɡɑː.lɒɡ/ (IPA) t ax - g aa 1 l aa g (SAPI 5) ɒ does not have a SAPI 5 equivalent so...

Re: Minpronunciation is almost all voices of read vs read
Hi Gayle, Do you currently have any entries in your Pronunciation Dictionary Maintenance (PDM) or are you using any TextAloud dictionaries to correct for these type of errors? First, correcting for the mispronunciation of the homograph read can be done but it is not an easy task. For example in the ...

Pronunciation of Hagupit
Greetings, I need your Tagalog expertise: Can you tell me whether the forvo.com pronunciation at http://www.forvo.com/word/hagupit/#tl for Hagupit is correct? (You may have to turn the sound up very high). In terms of IPA pronunciation, I am hearing /hɑːˈgu.pɪt/ for the pronunciation of Hagupit.

It is very doubtful that you will find a Tagalog/Filipino SAPI 5 Voice. There are SAPI 5 Phoneme sets for the major languages like US English, UK English, French, German and so on. You can find the US English SAPI 5 Phoneme set here . As you can see, US English has one of poorest phoneme sets. UK En...

Greetings Jim,
I have sent you the files to simulate a crash.
My definition of a crash is that the error stops TextAloud from working. I am not sure if this is the definition of a crash you are also using.

Getting respell with </voice> to work You can get </voice> to work as you intended if you follow these steps: 1. Create a new TA Dictionary 2. In the new Dictionary enter only the two regexes for the voice change. 3. Turn off all other TA Dictionaries (only the new dictionary should be checked on)....

Thanks for this information; it also seems to work when using 'ipa' instead of 'x-sampa' though you would have to change U to ʊ and E to ɛ (which are the IPA equivalent)
