Re: toolbar for Word 2010

If you're running the 32 bit version of office 2010, the TextAloud toolbar should appear in Word's ribbon. If it doesn't show up try reinstalling TA3, and when prompted during install for toolbars to install, make sure the toolbar for word is selected. If you're running the 64 bit version of office ...

I wonder if the toolbar install is somehow corrupted ... If you display Tools -> Add-Ons in Firefox, does the TextAloud 3 toolbar appear? If so, try uninstalling the toolbar, restart Firefox, and make sure Firefox starts with no errors. Then exit Firefox and reinstall TextAloud. You can download the...

Re: Making TextAloud more productive

Hi Shmuel,

You're not missing anything, that is how things currently work. We have talked doing something to retain text formatting in the TextAloud display. So it is on our list but I really don't have an estimate to give you on when we'll have it. It won't be in 3.0 for sure.

Re: Make audio file lyrics with pronounciation dictionary entry

We'll put this one on the list to look at. We decided to implement the way it is at least initially because of how often respell is used to place odd spellings / punctuations in the text to improve the pronunciation of certain words. But for sure there are times when it would be better to incorporat...

Re: Multi Article Speak Mode and Article Deletion(s)

In TA3 you do this by setting up an automatic action, see the automatic actions dialog, under the Tools menu. On this dialog, you'll click the "Add Action" button, set the TextAloud Activity to "After Speaking Article", and the Automatic Action to "Delete Article".

JK Audio THAT-2 Telephone Handset Audio Tap

I tried this switch from JK Audio which enables NextUp Talker to be used with a landline (wired) telephone. It works really well, and allows you to use your handset to listen to a call while using your computer to talk for you. The switch sits between your handset and phone base, and you run a cable...
