Removing TextAloud Toolbars

Post by Jim Bretti »

If for any reason you need to remove a TextAloud toolbar once you have installed it you can follow these instructions.

To remove TextAloud toolbars for Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Firefox, and/or the TextAloud integration with Windows Explorer, download the zip file at http://www.nextup.com/support/TAToolbarUtility.zip. Unzip the executable, TAToolbarUtility.exe, to any folder on your machine and run it. Select the toolbar you want to remove, and click the Remove button.

Note: before adding/removing toolbars from an application, make sure the application is not running.

It is possible that Windows may prevent the utility from running the first time you try to use it. If you're not able to start the program, right click the file TAToobarUtility.exe, and click "Properties" in the popup menu. In the properties dialog, just unblock the program, near the bottom of the dialog.
