A challenge.. Creating an Audiobook format (Mp4, Ma4, mb4)

Post by Generic »

I currently use a round about way to create audio books using TextAloud and other programs (listed below). I wonder if there is a better way. I know that TextAloud allows the use of the Encoders, but don't know how to you use them, nor if they can create audio-book format. Here is what I do.

I collect articles from the web and various publications using Read IT Later software (http://www.readitlaterlist.com). It allows you to save website in text format from any computer. I then use TextAloud Batch Conversion Function to create MP3 files. I then use a program called "Chapters and Verse" (from http://lodensoftware.com/chapter-and-verse/) to combine all the files into an Audio-book with chapter-markers at the end of each MP3 files. The final product is exactly what I'm looking for. But the process is rather cumbersome as it involves several programs, so I don't do it as often as I should.

So, here is my question, does anyone know of a more streamlined work flow? Or better yet, is there is an encoder that I can add to Text aloud to use, which will produce the audio-books directly?

I truly appreciate any help.
