Search Problems

Not sure what I did but the search/Ctrl>F function no longer works.

I get an error message saying "The string (xxx) was not found", no matter how many times it appears in the text.

Any ideas?

Hi Jack,

If you're running the latest version (3.0.49, at http://www.nextup.com/files/ta3.exe) there are no known issues with Find / Replace. There are a few options in the 'Search for Text' dialog that could cause problems though ... options like "Case Sensitive" and "Whole Words Only" can cause matches to be missed. Also, the Direction (Forward/Backward) as well as Scope (Entire Scope / From Cursor) could cause this to happen.

Let me know if that doesn't help.

Well guess what? It works fine again and I did nothing. It just needed a week's rest.
