Renaming files with {{split}} possible?

I use many single speech fragments for my voice computer. I use the "split" option to seperate the single files. At this moment it generates 001_xx 002_xx and so on. I can't find my recordings because if I add a new line it was renumbering all following files

Is it possible to use own filenames? For exaple if I use {{split:Wecome_Message}} it splits the text and renames the file to "Welcome_Message.mp3".

Can I do this in a way?

There is currently not an option available for this. This has come up a number of times and is on our list of features to add, so we'll try to get to it in a future release.

Is there a option to add this feature? I can't wait so much and I have hundred of single (short) text fragments. If I add a new text-part all files are re-numbering and there is a hugh work to rename alle files again by hand.

I'm trying to add this option to the current split tag, I'll post again in a day or so with results (good or bad).

Have an update ready to try at http://www.nextup.com/files/ta3.exe. In this update, the split tag can be specified in one of two ways: {{Split}} and {{Split=MySplitName}}. The split name cannot include a full path, and should not include a file extension. Valid characters for split names are alphanumeric characters and the underscore character.

When you click Insert Tags -> Split Audio File from the TextAloud menu, you'll now be prompted to either let TextAloud generate split the split name automatically or supply your own name.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.
