Is there a way to make the pause very little or no pause at all?

If you're hearing a small pause at voice change tags we have no control over it, the voice change tags are actually processed by the SAPI5 speech interface. Let me know if that is not the problem.

It is a bit tedious on a longer document, but I've used the Audacity audio editing software to remove the excessively long pause when the voice is changed. It's easy to spot each pause on the Audacity audio display and deleting is easy. I recently edited a 18 minute file with multiple voice changes and it took about ten minutes.

On a long piece (an hour or more) it might prove to be a multi session task.
