' causes pitch to increase? [RESOLVED]

After temporarily setting and using a hotkey for the Pronunciation Dictionary Maintenance (Ctrl+D and then Ctrl+Alt+D; the latter of which is in-use by default), I noticed the pitch increase. Testing it out, every ' increases it. What's causing this and how do I stop it. I failed to find anything when skimming the settings and FAQ and restarting the program and trying a different article didn't help.
