Unexplained pauses

I have noticed when I am proofreading before making a mp3 that when the page refreshes it will pause for about a half of a second, this I am well adjusted to but on making the mp3 it also has the same refresh pauses in the mp3 file.

Can you explain what these page refreshes are that are causing the pauses?

If there is something happening on your machine that is causing pauses in your audio files, one possibility may be to increase TextAloud's processing priority when writing audio files. Under the Tools menu, look for Advanced Options -> Advanced Settings. There is an option in that list labled "Raise processing priority when writing audio files". Try enabling that option and see if it has any effect.

I fixed the problem by unchecking the the pause boxes in the pause and text insertion in the tools section.
