homonyms

Hi Jim,

What can we do about homonyms like "live?" We have the pronunciations 'liv' and 'live'.

Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for this one. When a word has different pronunciations like that, choosing the correct pronunciation means being able to figure out how the word is being used. The speech engines do this to some extent, but don't always get it right. It may be possible to use the TextAloud pronunciation editor to handle some situations but I don't know of any way to solve the problem in general.
