I am sorry if this is in the faq., but I hate installing stuff on my machine, hence my asking here.

Does anyone know if textaloud do tts using more than one core at a time? It would seem easy to parallelize (e.g., one paragraph per thread).

TextAloud currently uses multiple threads only when writing audio files, so TTS and audio file conversion run in different threads. We'll look at more places we can multithread in the next version.

Don't have an estimate right now, we'll definitely post something in here the forums when we have a timeframe.
