No XPI file found and not able register the TA with Firefox

Post by prasadpatnaik »

I purchased Textaloud and installed on my machine.

After installing the new version of textaloud, One the plug in with Firefox did not upgraded. Moreover, I also could not find the xpi file in new installation which used to enable me to register the plugin to firefox. Kindly arrange me download the firefox plugin xpli file so that I can register to firefox version 42.0. Currently after upgrade the Textaloud version is 3.0.86.

Please help me.

Do you currently have an the Firefox toolbar installed via an xpi file? If so, the best thing to do is uninstall it (from Firefox). So go into your Firefox Add-ons, click Extensions in the left pane, then uninstall the TextAloud toolbar.

Once you get the xpi install removed, re-run the TextAloud 3.0.86 install and it should install the toolbar. The toolbar writes some registry settings to perform the install, you don't need an xpi file.

If this doesn't work send me an email at jim@nextup.com and we'll do some debugging.
