TTS reading speed very slow

It sounds like TextAloud is inserting a pause after every word. This was a known bug in one of the earlier beta versions, please make sure you are running the latest beta. Check Help -> About in the TextAloud main window, and if the version displayed is earlier than Beta 32, update your TextAloud version using the installer at http://nextup.com/files/ta4.exe.

If you are seeing the problem with beta 32 installed, it would help if you send a TextAloud problem report. From the TextAloud menu click Help -> Support -> Report A Problem, and make a brief reference to this issue in the problem report text.
